Project Background

9 Squares is a collaborative animation project organized by Al Boardman, Skip Dolphin Hursh, and David Stanfield. David suggested it would be fun to create 9 different animators take on 9 different squares.  And just like that, 9 Squares was born.

Concept

Using basic shapes and abstract direction to highlight some animation principles, for examples, ease in, ease out, staging, appealing, secondary action, arcs movement, exaggeration, and timing.
